wip 2: mixed media painting progress

So this is how it looks like at present…I added a bit of glam. No way to take a proper picture though…

Feels almost finished, but not quite. Might turn it around completely…

Have a good week, dear readers 😉

Work-in-(slow)-Progress: some mixed media paintings

So, even though I am enjoying the “Golden October” with many walks and photography, I also have some mixed media artwork in the making…slow progress with many stopps in between, but still… Here´s how the two pieces look at present. I like both of them with their structures and colors and hope to get on with them a bit faster and easier, but experience shows: you cannot force such things…ah, well.

#1: working title “Treasure Chest”

# 2: working title “Blue Islands”

Hello, dear readers,

suddenly I got the chance to present some of my artwork in a really lovely gallery in one of the prettiest parts of Bremen, the Schnoor (local dialect for “Schnur” meaning “line” or”string”, since the streets are so narrow and the houses tiny and unique like pearls – this was the fishermen´s quarter years and years ago), very much frequented by tourists.

For me, this is quite something! So, for the next two months, my stuff can be seen amongst other brilliant and memorable pieces of really talented artists in an absolutely gorgeous building, and I will be there in person once a week to welcome visitors (and buyers 😉 ).

The other artists I met so far are very nice and helpful, and my first day there was absolutely enjoyable, chatting (to mainly englishspeaking) visitors and tourists, all very polite and friendly.

So if you happen to be in town, come around 🙂

This is “my wall”:

One done: Mixed media work “color puzzle” finished

G´day to you, dear readers!

So this piece is finally finished. I had to restrain myself because one could actually go on and on and on, adding one more colorful scrap of paper and another one as the process is quite hypnotic and really fun.

But it is enough now, and I am content with the result…

…and so is my beloved dog Miles Mulligan III 😉

Have a nice week with lots of sunshine.

Some colourful paintings …

Hiya,
finished these two….those were unfinished paintings I upcycled with scrap-collage-paper-glueing, using coloured paper and printed napkins. It is a nice and playful and nice un-plann-able technique. I enjoyed it, being quite tense and wanting to create though not having the patience for sculpting or to start and finish any painting from start till end.  Will use this technique more often, I find it quite mood uplifting 😉
